The Gawler Community House has an amazing team of over 70 volunteers who assist in the operations of the House, the Big Shed Op Shop, Café Connections, Community Garden and Plant production, and we could not operate the Gawler Community House without their support.

The Gawler Community House has the following volunteer roles;

The Big Shed Op Shop Assistant  -  Retail Shop assistant, customer service, cash handling, cash register operation, Eftpos

The Big Shed Op Shop Concierge  -   assist customers as required, display clothes & bric-a-brac, clean shop counters/shelves, greet customers, accept donations.

The Big Shed Op Shop Donation Sorting  -   assist with sorting all donations, displaying, steam cleaning and other duties as required.

Garden Hand  -  undertake garden duties as required, including propagation of plants, planting, weeding, watering, potting

General Maintenance/Handy Person  -  undertake maintenance and general up keep tasks as required including keeping grounds clean, assisting with special maintenance projects if able.

Café Connections Kitchen Hand  -  assist in food preparation, customer service, cash handling, serving and setting tables, kitchen hygiene, dishwashing

Administration Assistant  - customer service, reception, cash handling, cash register operation, Eftpos, general administration duties, email, student bookings.

Board of Management  -  the GCH has a volunteer Board of Management and conducts monthly Board meetings, nomination forms must be lodged

Tutors/Group Facilitators -  the GCH invites people with a special interest or skill set that would like to teach and pass on their skills to our customers or may want to start a special interest group, each application is accessed for viability.
